About
Welcome from the 6th Form Lead - Mr D Constable
The Emmbrook Sixth Form is a special place at the heart of the Emmbrook community, proud of its engagement with both the wider school and the local area.
We are especially proud of our students’ academic achievements, with results that place us in the top 10% of sixth forms nationally. This outstanding success reflects not only the dedication of our students but also the expert teaching and pastoral support we provide. When students join Emmbrook, they are in safe hands—both academically and pastorally—because we firmly believe that happy, healthy students make the most academically successful learners.
Our Sixth Form offers students the opportunity to develop a wide range of transferable skills while thriving academically in a supportive environment. Our goal is to equip every student with the foundation to embrace future challenges and succeed in the modern workplace.
At Emmbrook, we foster sound judgement, empathy, and a strong moral compass while guiding students to define their academic pathway. With a broad range of subjects taught by expert teachers, we ensure that our students can pursue a variety of academic and career directions.
For our Oxbridge and Russell Group students, we provide bespoke support to ensure they are well-prepared for their future applications. Early in Year 12, these students will meet to outline the additional resources they will need, such as extensive reading materials and preparation for interviews. Throughout the application process, they will receive dedicated sessions from the Head of Sixth Form and a Senior Leadership Team link, ensuring they have all the guidance and support necessary to navigate their journey successfully.
Beyond the classroom, we provide numerous opportunities for students to develop essential life skills. Leadership roles allow students to shape the future of both the Sixth Form and the wider school. Our Sixth Formers also benefit from exciting trips, such as the World Challenge and visits to Iceland, which offer valuable cultural experiences. Additionally, we encourage our students to get involved in the community through service, peer mentoring, and volunteering initiatives.
A highlight of the Emmbrook Sixth Form experience is the series of fundraising events we hold throughout the year. These events, such as the Christmas Market and Easter Egg Hunt, bring our students together to raise money for local charities like the me2club and national charities such as Beat.
At Emmbrook Sixth Form, students are not just joining an academic institution—they are joining a caring, supportive community that will nurture them through their journey. Whether aspiring to academic excellence, personal development, or lasting friendships, we are here to guide and support every student.
I look forward to welcoming you into our Sixth Form in September.
Best wishes,
David Constable – Head of Sixth Form
